AI is already part of everyday business. Without clear rules, sensitive information and important decisions are at risk.

Unapproved tools risk exposing customer data. Biased outputs risk unfair hiring decisions. Unchecked answers risk misleading customers.

Missing governance is not an automatic fine. Penalties depend on the law, the violation and who is covered.

For prohibited practices covered by the EU AI Act, fines reach up to €35 million or 7% of prior-year worldwide turnover. The higher ceiling generally applies. Small and medium enterprises face the lower ceiling.

For serious privacy infringements under EU GDPR, the ceiling is €20 million or 4% of prior-year worldwide turnover, whichever is higher.

Covered businesses also face US privacy penalties. In California, intentional CCPA violations carry administrative fines up to $7,988 per violation.

On June 3, 2026, Rep. Sara Jacobs introduced the Sectoral AI Governance Act of 2026, H.R. 9125. It would authorize agency rules for AI uses likely to materially contribute to violations of existing federal laws. This is proposed legislation, not enacted law. It sets no standalone fine schedule.

Start with approved tools, data rules, trained staff, human review and documented oversight. Review risks before launch and monitor changes.

ISO/IEC 42001 compliance & certification support

Responsible AI.
A management system to support it.

We help organizations implement an AIMS, meet ISO/IEC 42001 requirements and prepare to achieve independent certification.

ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the world’s first international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS). Published in December 2023, the standard provides a framework for organizations to responsibly develop, provide or use AI.

01 / ASSESS

Find the gaps

Define your scope, inventory AI systems and evaluate governance practices against ISO/IEC 42001 requirements.

02 / IMPLEMENT

Build your AIMS

Establish policies, responsibilities, risk and impact assessments, lifecycle controls, training and evidence records.

03 / PREPARE

Get ready for assessment

Prepare for internal audits, corrective actions, management review and the independent certification assessment. Maintain the system as your AI use changes.

Certification is awarded by an independent certification body following its assessment.

Before we begin

Clear expectations
from the start.

Where does an engagement start?

Start with an initial conversation about your goals and environment. A written proposal or statement of work then defines the scope, deliverables, responsibilities, and fees before paid work begins.

Does every project require a new platform?

The right starting point depends on your existing systems and business needs. An assessment identifies which capabilities to retain, which to improve, and where new technology adds value.

How do you support ISO/IEC 42001 certification?

We help define your AIMS scope, identify gaps, implement governance processes and prepare supporting evidence. We also support audit preparation, corrective actions and management review. An independent certification body assesses your AIMS and makes the certification decision.

How are cancellations and refunds handled?

Cancellation, rescheduling, fees, and refund eligibility follow your signed client agreement and applicable law. Read our refund policy for the request process.
